Molfetta, 09/05/2016
I was at Southern Italy at a workshop in a small village called Molfetta at the Mediterranean Sea.
Before leaving the place, I visited the old part of it, although I was told it wasn’t a good idea to do so. A lot of old houses – inhabited only by homeless people, stray dogs and cats, crumpling walls supported by wooden joists, empty windows and ghosts. Stone streets and nailed down doors. And the omnipresent Duomo – the catholic cathedral in every town and village.
The unique atmosphere of Old Italy, which I painted and later showed in an exhibition. Even in a few exhibitions.
